Dr. Pronab K. Chowdhury received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics in 1987 (Tashkent State University, former USSR) for his research on the structure of nucleons [1, 2]. In 1989, based on observations about the elementary particles, he hypothesized that leptons and quarks of the first generation of elementary particles carry information related to the evolution of the universe and the origin of life [3].
Over the next 30 years, mostly in private, Dr. Chowdhury continued research into the implications of this hypothesis. This research culminated in his proposal of a unified model of natural evolution, which provides a scientific paradigm and methodological approach that allows us to extend the concept of darwinian evolution to apply to the non-living world. It allows us to understand the entire evolution of the universe as a single process starting from the big bang to the emergence of human civilization [4, 5].
It is in this extension of natural evolution into the domain of human society, where evolutionary anthropodynamics lives [6].
As of 2025, Dr. Chowdhury lives in New York City with his family.
